Established Parents Working Committee

The Parent Working Committee (PWC) at our school serves as a vital structure through which parents and guardians collaborate to enhance the educational experience for their children. Recognizing the importance of parental involvement in creating a safe and conducive learning environment, the PWC is formed from a select group of parents who actively engage in decision-making processes regarding both academic and non-academic programs.

Key objectives of Parent Working Committee we target to achieve:

Active Participation: The PWC encourages parents to be active speakers in discussions about school policies, programs, and initiatives, ensuring that their voices are heard in the decision-making process.
Collaboration with School Administration: The committee works closely with school leadership to identify areas where parental input can lead to improvements in the educational framework and overall student experience.
Support for School Initiatives: Parents are encouraged to support various school initiatives, events, and programs, fostering a strong sense of community and collaboration.
Organizing Meetings: The PWC holds regular meetings to discuss important topics related to the school, gather feedback from parents, and plan upcoming events that benefit the student body.
Facilitating Communication: The committee acts as a bridge between parents and the school, ensuring that parents are informed about school policies, events, and their children's academic progress.
Engaging in Fundraising Activities: The PWC often organizes fundraising events to support school projects and initiatives, contributing to the enhancement of facilities and resources available to students.
Promoting Community Involvement: The committee encourages parents to volunteer for school events and activities, fostering a sense of belonging and community among families.

Transfer Certificate Policy

Parents or guardians must submit an online request for a Transfer Certificate by filling out the TC request form provided by the school administration, clearly stating the reason for the transfer.

The request should be submitted at least one month before the intended transfer date by submitting TC Request Form, to allow sufficient time for the completion of the required formalities.

Clearance of Dues

All outstanding fees and dues must be cleared before the Transfer Certificate can be issued.

Parents or guardians are required to settle any outstanding financial obligations to the school, including tuition fees, library fines, and other miscellaneous charges.

Periodic Parents-Teachers Meeting

Learning is complex, and children often face challenges and mental stress. The faculty at Tagore Public School believes that a child's holistic development relies on the combined efforts of the student, parent, and teacher. When these three work together, the best learning outcomes are achieved.

Parent-teacher meetings bridge the gap between these key pillars. They create a communication channel where parents are partners, and their active involvement significantly boosts a child's academic performance.

Tagore Public School understands the importance of sharing responsibility with parents for a child's development. Parents play a crucial role in their child's progress both at home and school. Building a strong connection between parents and teachers is essential. PTMs provide an opportunity to share observations and experiences, allowing both parents and teachers to plan effectively for better learning outcomes. Teachers discuss the child's overall personality, including behavior, habits, attitudes, and learning styles. PTMs are vital for addressing a child's needs.

Fee Rules and Cancellation Policy

Fee Collection Guidelines:

Monthly Payments: School fees are due by the 10th of each month. If the 10th falls on a holiday, fees are accepted the next working day. No reminders will be issued unless there's a specific reason or schedule change.
Payment by Cheque: Cheques should be made out to "TAGORE PUBLIC SCHOOL, HALDWANI" from any nationalized bank. Ensure all details are clear, with no overwriting or deletions. Include the student's admission number, name, parent's name, class, and section on the back of the cheque.
Dishonored Cheques: If a cheque is dishonored, contact the school office immediately. The fee must then be paid by demand draft or cash, with a fine of ₹500. Dishonored cheques are a criminal offense.
Annual Charges: Must be paid in lump sum. Tuition fees are charged for 11 months, and bus fees for 12 months.
Late Payments: A fine of ₹50 per day is charged for late payments up to the end of the month. Nonpayment for two consecutive months may result in the student's name being struck off the rolls. Re-admission is at the Principal's discretion with applicable charges.
Advance Payments: Fees can be paid in advance for any number of installments or the full session.
Bus Discontinuation: One month's notice is required to discontinue bus service. Bus and tuition fees are non-refundable, even if the student attends for only one day.
Fee Receipts: The parent's copy of the deposit slip is the valid receipt. A duplicate slip costs ₹100. Tuition fee certificates are issued annually in March upon written request, after all payments are cleared.

Important Fee and Documentation Guidelines:

Exam Clearance: All dues, including installments, store, and miscellaneous fees, must be cleared before PA I and PA II exams to receive the NOC, admit card, or exam results.
Bonafide Certificate: A fee of ₹100 is required for a Bonafide Certificate, payable at the Accounts Department.
Accounts Office Hours: Open from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM on all working days.
Non-Refundable Fees: Fees once paid are non-refundable under any circumstances.
Late Fee Payments: Parents must deposit fees, including any applicable late fees, directly at the bank. Late charges will apply from the fee due date until the fine is settled.
Student Safety: The school discourages students from carrying fee payments to school and is not responsible for any loss of money during transit or in the classroom.

Withdrawal Policy:

Parents are requested to inform the Principal in writing about the withdrawal of their ward from school.
In case of midterm withdrawals, the parents will be required to pay the tuition fees and bus fees for the full month in which the child is withdrawn. Part of the month will be treated as one month.
If a child has to be withdrawn from the commencement of a new session, parents must apply for the withdrawal on or before the last day of the current academic session failing which the tuition fee and the bus for the month in which withdrawal is applied will be charged.

Sibling Fees Discount Policy

One sibling Discount: A 10% discount will be applied to the tuition fee of the younger child when two siblings enroll simultaneously.

Two sibling Discount: The second and third child will receive a 10% discount each on the tuition fees.

Terms & Conditions:

The sibling discount will discontinue if any enrolled child withdraws from the school before passing out 12th grade.
If a child withdraws after completing his 12th grade, the sibling discount will resume for the remaining enrolled siblings.

Important Notes:

Families must inform the administration of their intention to withdraw any child from the school to assess the impact on the sibling discount.
The policy is subject to change, and families will be notified of any updates or modifications.
